Jack looked out the window

잭은 창문밖을 쳐다봤다.

He looked down at the picture in the book.

잭은 내려다봤다 사진을 책속의

He looked back out the window.

그는 창문밖을 돌아봤다.

The world outside and the world in the picture-they were exactly the same.

세계의 밖과 사진속의 세계-그들은 정확히 똑같았다.

The Pteranodon was soaring through the sky. The ground was covered with ferns and tall grass.

페테라노돈은 하늘로 솟구쳤다. 땅은 양치류(고사리같은)와 큰 풀로 덮여있었다.

There was a winding stream. A sloping hill. And volcanoes in the distance.

그곳에 구불구불한 개울이 있었다. 경사진 언덕. 그리고 화산들이 먼곳에 있다.

"Wh-where are we?" stammered Jack.

"우-우리 어디에 있어?" 더듬으며 잭이 말했다. 

The Pteranodon glided down to the base of their tree. The creature coasted to a stop. And stood very still.

페테라노돈은 미끄러져 내려왔다 그들의 나무 밑으로. 그 생명은 혜안을 따라 멈췄다. 그리고 서있었다 매우 가만히.

"What happend to us?" said Annie

"우리한테 무슨일이 생긴거야?" 애니가 말했다.

She looked at Jack. He looked at her.

그녀는 잭을 쳐다봤다. 그는 그녀를 쳐다봤다.

"I don't know," said Jack. "I was looking at the picture in the bookㅡ"

"나도몰라," 잭이 말했다. "나는 책속의 사진을 봤는데.."

"And you said 'Wow, I wish I could see a Pteranodon for real,'" said Annie.

"근데 너가 말했잖아 '와, 나 소원이 페테라노돈을 실제로 보는거야,'" 애니가 말했다.

"Yeah. And then we saw one. In the Frog Creek woods," said Jack.

"옙. 그리고 그때 우리 봤잖아.  Frog Creek 숲속에서," 잭은 말했다.

"Yeah. And then the wind got loud. And the tree house started spinning," said An-nie.

"옙. 그리고 그때 바람이 소리쳤지. 그리고 나무집이 돌기 시작했지," 애니가 말했다.

"And we landed here," said Jack.

"그리고 우리는 도착했다 여기에," 잭이 말했다.

"And we landed here," said Annie.

"그리고 우린 여기에 도착했지," 애니가 말했다.

"So that means..." said Jack.

"그래서 그 말은..." 잭이 말햇따.

"So that meas... what?" said Annie.

"그래서 그 말은...뭔데?" 애니가 말했다.

"Nothing," said Jack. He shook his head.

"없어," 잭이 말했다. 그는 머리를 흔들었다.

  ferns : 양치류

  stream : 개울, 시내

  slop : 출렁거리다

  volcanoes : 화산

  stammer : 말을 더듬다

  coast : 해안, 저절로 움직이다

  stood : 서있다

  loud : 큰, 시끄러운

  land : 육지, 땅

  shook : 흔들다
