10. Home Before Dark

 10-3

Annie started down. Jack followed.

애니는 내려가기 시작했다. 잭을 따라갔다.

Seconds later they hopped onto the ground and started walking out of the woods.

조금 후 그들은 땅으로 뛰어내리고 숲에서 걸어 나오기 시작했다.

"No one's going to believe our story," said Jack.

"아무도 우리의 얘기를 믿지 않을거야," 잭이 말했다.

"So let's not tell anyone," said Annie.

"그러니까 아무에게도 말하지 마," 애니가 말했다.

"Dad won't believe it," said Jack.

"아빠는 믿지 않을거야," 잭이 말했다.

"He'll say it was a dream," said Annie.

"그는 그것을 꿈이라고 말할거야," 애니가 말했다.

"Mom won't believe it," said Jack

"엄마는 믿지 않을거야," 잭이 말했다.

"She'll say it was pretend."

"그녀는 상상이었다고 말할거야."

"My teacher won't believe it," said Jack.

"선생님도 믿지않을거야," 잭이 말했다.

"She'll say you're nuts," said Annie.

"그녀는 우리가 미쳤다고 말할거야," 애니가 말했다.

"We better not tell anyone," said Jack.

"우리는 아무에게도 말하지 않는게 나아," 잭이 말했다.

"I already said that," said Annie.

"나는 이미 말했어," 애니가 말했다.

Jack sighed. "I think I'm starting to not believe it myself," he said

잭은 한숨을 내쉬었다. "나는 내 스스로 그것에 대해 믿지 않기 시작했어," 그는 말했다.

They left the woods and started up the road toward their house.

그들은 숲을 떠나 그들의 집을 향해 길을 가기 시작했다.

As they walked past all the houses on their street, the trip to dinosaur time did seem more and more like a dream.

그들은 거리의 모든집을 지나칠때, 공룡시대로의 여행은 점 점 더 꿈처럼 보였다.

Only this world and this time seemed real.

오직 이 세계와 이 시간만이 현실로 보였다.

Jack reached into his pocket. He clasped the gold medallion.

잭은 주머니에 손을 넣었다. 그는 금메달을 움켜쥐었다.

He felt the engraving of the letter M. It made Jack's fingers tingle.

그는 M글자의 홈을 느꼈다. 그것은 잭의 손가락을 얼얼하게 만들었다.

Jack laughed. Suddenly he felt very happy.

잭은 웃었다. 갑자기 그는 엄청 기분이 좋아졌다.

He couldn't explain what had happened today.

그는 오늘 무슨 일이 생겼는지 설명할순 없었다.

But he knew for sure that their trip in the magic tree house had been real.

그러나 그는 마법의 나무집의 그들의 여행은 진짜였다는 것을 확실히 알았다 

Absolutely real.

절대적으로 진짜

"Tomorrow," Jack said softly, "we'll go back to the woods."

"내일," 잭은 부드럽게 말했다, "우리 숲으로 돌아가보자."

"Of course," said Annie.

"물론이야," 애니가 말햇다.

"And we'll see what happens next," said Jack.

"그리고 우리는 다음에 무슨일이 생길지 알게 될거야," 잭이 말했다.

"Of course," said Annie. "Race you!"

"물론," 애니가 말했다. "경쟁이다!"

And they took off together, running for home.

그리고 그들은 함께 집으로 달려 갔다.
