7. Ready, Set, Go!

 7-1

"Run, Annie! Run!" cried Jack. "To the tree house!"

"뛰어, 애니! 뛰어!" 잭이 외쳤다. "나무집으로!"

They dashed down the hill together.

그들은 언덕아래로 함께 뛰어갔다.

Through the tall grass, through the ferns, past the Pteranodon, and right to the rope ladder.

긴 풀숲을 지나, 양치류도 지나, 페테라노돈을 지나쳐, 오른쪽에 있는 줄사다리로.

They scrambled up.  

그들은 재빨르게 올라갔다.

Seconds later they tumbled into the tree house.

몇 초후에 그들은 나무집으로 굴러 들어갔다.

Annie leaped to the window.

애니는 창문으로 뛰어내렸다.

"He's going away!" she said, panting.

"그는 멀리갔어!" 그녀가 두근거리며 말했다. 

Jack pushed his glasses into place. He looked through the window with her.

잭은 안경을 제자리에 넣었다. 그는 그녀와 같이 창문을 통해 봤다. 

The Tyrannosaurus was wandering off.

티라노사우루스는 떠돌고 있었다.

But then the monster stopped and turned around.

그러나 그때 몬스터는 멈추고 돌아섰다.

"Duck!" said Jack.

"오리!" 잭이 말했다.

The two of them hunched down.

그들 둘은 등을 굽혔다.

After a long moment, they raised their heads. They peeked out again.

한참 후에, 그들은 머리를 들었다. 그들은 다시 살짝 엿봤다.

"Coast clear," said Jack.

"해변은 깨끗해," 잭이 말했다.

"Yay," whispered Annie.

"예이," 애니가 소리쳤다.

"We have to get out of here," said Jack.

"우리는 여기에서 벗어나야해," 잭이 말했다.

"You made a wish before," said Annie.

"너는 전에 소원을 빌었어," 애니가 말했다.

"I wish we could go back to Frog Creek," said Jack.

"나는 우리가 Frog Creek로 돌아갈수 있기를 바란다," 잭이 말했다.

Nothing happened.

아무일도 없었다.

"I wishㅡ"

"내 소원은ㅡ"

"Wait. You were looking at a picture in the dinosaur book. Remember?"

"잠깐. 너가 공룡책에 있는 사진을 봤었잖아. 기억나?"

The dinosaur book.

공룡책.

 

 

* scrambled : 재빨리 움직이다, 서로 밀치다

  tumbled : 굴러떨어지다, 넘어지다

  panting : 가슴이 두근거리는

  wandering : 헤매다, 방황하는, 돌아다니다

  hunched : 구부렸다

  peeked : 훔쳐보다, 살짝보이다
