7. Ready, Set, Go!

 7-2

Jack groaned. "Oh, no. I left the book and my pack on the hill. I have to go back."

잭은 끙 소리를 냈다. "안돼. 나 언덕에 가방이랑 책을 놓고왔어. 나는 다시 돌아가야해."

"Oh, forget it," said Annie.

"이런, 그냥 잊어," 애니가 말했다.

"I can't," said Jack. "The book doesn't belong to us.

"할수없어," 잭이 말했다. "그책은 우리것이 아니야"

Plus my notebook's in my pack. With all my notes."

뿐만 아니라 내 공책도 가방안에 들어있어. 모든 공책과 함께."

"Hurry!" said Annie.

"서둘러!" 애니가 말했다.

Jack hurried down the rope ladder.

잭은 서둘러 줄사다리를 타고 내려갔다.

He leaped to the ground.

그는 땅으로 뛰어내렸다.

He raced past the Pteranodon, throught the ferns, throught the tall grass, and up the hill

그는 프테라노돈을 지나 달리고, 양치류를 지나, 긴 풀수플 지나, 언덕에 올랐다.

He looked down.

그는 아래를 봤다.

There was his pack, lying on the ground.

그곳에 그의 가방이 땅에 뉘여 있었다.

On top of it was the dinosaur book.

위에는 공룡책이 있었다.

But now the valley below was filled with Antosauruses. All standing guard around the nests.

그러나 지금 골짜리 아래는 안토사우루스로 가득했다. 모두 둥지 주변을 지키고 있었다.

Where had they been? Did rear of the Tyrannosaurus send them home?

그들은 어디에 있었을까? 티라노사우루스의 뒤에서 그들을 집으로 보냈나요?

Jack took a deep breath.

잭은 깊은 숨을 쉬었다.

Ready! Set! Go!

준비하고 달려!

He charged down the hill. He leaped to his backpack. He scooped it up.

그는 언덕아래로 달렸다. 그는 그의 가방으로 굴렀다. 그는 가방을 재빨리 들어올렸다.

He grabbed the dinosaur book.

그는 공룡책을 집었다.

A terrible tuba sound! Another! Anoth-er! All the Anatosauruses were bellowing at him.

끔찍한 투바소리! 하나 더! 또 하나! 모든 아나토사우루스는 그에게 소리질렀다.

Jack took off.

잭은 달아났다.

He race up to the hilltop.

그는 언덕꼭데기까지 경주했다.

He started down the hill.

그는 언덕 아래로 내려가기 시작했다.

He stopped.

그는 멈췄다.

The Tyrannosaurus rex was back! 

티라노사우루스 렉스가 돌아왔다.

And he was standing between Jack and the tree house!

그리고 그는 잭과 나무집사이에 서있었다.

 

 

* groaned : 신음(끙) 소리를 내다

  scooped : 재빨리 들어올리다
